So far I’ve posted lots of lovely DIY projects from other people, but I thought it was about time I started to do some myself! I like to try out new things at the weekend, so I thought I’d post it on a Friday ready for your weekend.
I thought I’d start with something easy – cupcake flags. I’ve been quite obsessed with pretty pictures of cupcake flags recently and thought I’d give designing and making my own a go. And I’ve put together a free download (pdf) of the flags to print out yourself.
All you need is…
- printed flags (download PDF)
- scissors
- 12 cocktail sticks
- double sided tape
It took me… less than 30 minutes
It cost me… nothing! I already had all the supplies in, but even if you’re missing something it won’t cost much.
Fold the flag in half around the cocktail stick and stick the two sides together
Et voila… you have a lovely bunch of little cupcake flags…
Now all you need is the cupcakes to stick them in! So I think the next DIY Friday has to be my vanilla cupcakes, and as I’ve promised my other halves mother I’ll bring some round for tea and now I’ve promised you a post about them, I have no excuses! I just have to remember to buy the ingredients…
